Brenda Sellers

Brenda Sellers is an entrepreneur, Philanthropist of the Year, and businesswoman who
wears many hats to make an impact in her community. She is a passionate advocate for children,
the elderly, and veterans, dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
While she has had many businesses, Brenda is best known for her leadership at
CHROMA, an automotive aftermarket manufacturing company, where she rose from receptionist
to president. Under her direction, CHROMA earned numerous industry accolades, including
Manufacturer of the Year, and became famous for the iconic stick families seen on the back of
vehicles nationwide. Notably, Brenda was named Man of the Year by an aftermarket magazine in
the 1990s, before a female category existed.
As an author, Brenda was one of 80 authors selected from around the world to attend a
New York publisher's event. She has appeared on several television appearances, including on
WATE/ABC with Tearsa Smith and was featured on AAPEX LIVE-TV in Las Vegas.
Brenda has been a guest on numerous podcasts to discuss her award-winning book You Slept
Where? Calamities of a Clumsy Businesswoman, which has raised over $50,000 for two
nonprofits. The book has received the 5-star Reader Reviews Award, the Kirkus Review “Get It”
Award, the Literary Titan Gold Book Award, and most recently, Readers’
Favorite Humor/Comedy Award from.
A sought-after speaker, Brenda has shared her experiences at leadership seminars,
women’s conferences, and book clubs across the U.S. and abroad, including Iceland.
In her book, Brenda recounts her adventures of how she survived Mount Everest but
thought she was going to die in a hotel room. Like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, she’s
traveled the world but always finds there’s no place like home—East Tennessee. Her story
highlights her journey in balancing a career (and raising her “15 kids”) while managing her
mother’s dementia and her husband’s PTSD.
As a bonus, readers not only gain personal insight but also cost-saving tips and a template
to create their own travel wish list. The book also includes a QR code for a chapter-by-chapter
photo preview, adding an innovative experience for the reader.
The audiobook version of You Slept Where? features an award-winning narrator, her
cousin, Amanda Prater Stribling, who is currently narrating Dolly Parton’s book.
