Patty Ireland is an Associate Professor of English at Pellissippi State in Knoxville, TN, and Founder/Director of the College’s annual Young Creative Writer’s Workshop. In addition to being a published writer of fiction and poetry, she is also a BMI songwriter. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Still: The Journal, 100 Days in Appalachia’s “Creators and Innovators,” Cutleaf Journal, Untelling, and Appalachia Bare, among others. She is currently at work on a novel and a debut memoir.
