Each writer will submit to Elizabeth a manuscript of up to 5,000 words (size 12 font, double-spaced document). This should be a short story or novel excerpt; if it’s a novel excerpt, it should consist of the OPENING chapter, as opposed to disconnected segments of the manuscript. A novel excerpt should include a brief synopsis of the novel as an attachment.

Elizabeth will return one week later with a professional critique, as well as marginal comments inside the original document. She will also meet with you via Zoom for a 30- minute Q/A session to discuss follow-up questions, publication, the writing life, or anything else the writer wishes to discuss during that time.
