Expired Querying Process: From Start to Signed

This workshop will help attendees simplify the querying process and avoid common mistakes. We will discuss how to write an effective query letter that gets agents’ attention. We will also explore resources and methods for researching literary agents and discuss how to navigate the submission process in a professional way. We will review the anatomy of a query letter and break down the query-writing process into manageable steps. At each step, we will discuss common mistakes and methods for identifying and including the strongest aspects of a manuscript. The workshop will cover the process of researching and submitting to agents. We will also talk about how to respond to partial and full requests and how to prepare for “the call.” Writers can bring a draft of their query letter for the opportunity to workshop their query during the event.
