Knoxville Writers Guild Hosts “AI in Writing” with Jan Taylor at June Program
Knoxville, TN — The Knoxville Writers Guild is proud to present a timely and thoughtful evening program on the intersection of artificial intelligence and the creative process. Titled “AI in Writing: Tool or Trouble?”, the session will be led by Jan Taylor, Senior Lecturer in English at Maryville College and a dynamic voice in the ongoing conversation about technology and creativity.
The event will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at Addison’s Bookstore in Knoxville. Admission is free, and donations to support the Guild’s mission are gratefully accepted.
In this session, Taylor will guide participants through AI’s potential to both support and complicate the writing process. Topics include AI fundamentals, using AI to generate ideas and refine drafts, and the importance of maintaining a human creative voice in an increasingly digitized world. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions, skepticism, and open minds.
