Upcoming I.N.K.: An Evening of Spoken Word, Process, and Presence

The Knoxville Writers Guild (KWG) invites the community to a compelling February program featuring the nationally touring spoken word poetry duo I.N.K. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, 7:00 PM. This special evening promises not only powerful live performances, but an interactive and thoughtful conversation about craft, creativity, and the courage it takes to step onto the stage.

I.N.K. will engage attendees through dynamic spoken word performances paired with an open discussion on their creative process, as well as practical guidance for overcoming stage fright. Whether participants are seasoned writers, emerging artists, or listeners who have yet to share their work aloud, this program offers a welcoming and supportive space to explore voice, confidence, and artistic growth.

Comprised of Lane Shuler and Jonathan “Courageous” Clark, I.N.K. is an electrifying spoken word duo from Knoxville, Tennessee. Since 2012, they have been writing, creating, and touring professionally, performing at colleges, universities, and poetry venues across the country. Their signature blend of poetry, comedy, storytelling, and hip-hop creates an experience that is as engaging as it is unforgettable. This is not a traditional spoken word reading—it is an immersive performance that resonates long after the final line.

The February program reflects KWG’s continued commitment to fostering literary community, creative excellence, and meaningful artistic exchange in East Tennessee. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.
