Alan will talk about the journey that led him from ambitions (and struggles) as a novelist, poet, songwriter and short story writer to becoming one of Knoxville’s leading online voices and social media presences. In the process he gained a full-time career writing a form that he could not have imagined when he started his journey. It’s a story about embracing the unexpected and losing lots of sleep to seize the dream.
