Knoxville Writers’ Guild is accepting submissions to fall writing contest

As autumn approaches, the concept of family moves closer to the center of our thoughts and activities. With this in mind, the Knoxville Writers’ Guild is opening its first Autumn Writing Contest with ‘Family’ as the theme. We invite submissions that examine the complex nature of families and our relationships and the bonds that join them.

Submissions will be accepted from August 31, 2017 thru midnight, October 31, 2017.

This is an adult and young writers competition (open to 6th to 12th graders in Knox County and its adjoining counties).

The entry fee for nonmembers is $30. Students and guild members enter free of charge.

Prizes: $100 for first place in the following categories: literary short fiction; literary nonfiction; & poetry; and young writers.
