Gerhard Schneibel is a novel and short story writer who emphasize contemporary narratives that entertain but also carry weight. His work has appeared in Pour Vida magazine, and he has placed in contests of the Knoxville and Chattanooga writers’ guilds. Schneibel has worked as a journalist and in marketing/public relations for higher education since 2007, and in 2013 completed a master’s degree in International Media Studies at the Deutsche Welle, Germany’s international broadcaster. The core of his identity as a fiction writer was formed at Goucher College’s Kratz Center for Creative Writing, where he learned from Madison Smartt Bell, Robert Girardi and Julianna Baggott.
